When JoinThisGame first launched, our main focus was delivering a fast, responsive experience tailored specifically for mobile phones. Today, we are excited to announce that the platform has officially been optimized for desktop computers, laptops, and tablets! No matter what resolution or device you are using, you can now host and join games seamlessly on larger screens.

Native Apps Across All Platforms

In addition to web browser improvements, native app builds are available across virtually every major platform, including Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux with Steam coming soon. You can install and run the app on your preferred system right now to jump straight into the action.

There is one small caveat regarding native app installation: currently, Linux is the only platform that installs completely hassle-free out of the box without needing extra workarounds or sideloading steps. Because Apple, Google, and Microsoft charge ongoing developer fees to sign and distribute software in their official app stores, and JoinThisGame is still a brand-new, growing platform that isn't profitable yet, we haven't paid those entry fees quite yet.

What's Next for App Support

Rest assured, official app store registration and signed releases are high on our roadmap, and we plan to take care of them shortly as the platform grows! In the meantime, all app builds remain fully functional and available to use as-is, or you can simply load JoinThisGame directly in your browser on any device, anywhere.
