Foundational Systems Are Now Online

Today marks a big milestone: nearly every foundational system for JoinThisGame is now online and working together as a cohesive whole.

Secure, Polished User Features

All core user features are live and heavily secured using industry-standard security patterns. Account flows, identity rituals, and sensitive actions like email changes are now guarded by thoughtful checks, clear messaging, and recovery paths designed to protect real people, not just data.

Friends and Crews Fully Functional

Friendship features are in place and functioning, making it possible to connect, accept, and manage relationships in a way that feels intentional rather than noisy. Crew features are also fully online, giving groups a structured home with clear roles and responsibilities.

A Living News System

The news system—where you are reading this—is now quietly woven into the experience. It’s designed to be subtle but useful, a way to keep up with meaningful changes without overwhelming you. Alongside it, banners have been carefully curated throughout the site to draw attention to important information without becoming visual clutter.

Critical Messages When They Matter

For time-sensitive or critical updates, there are now dedicated critical messages that appear in the best possible places, so you see what matters when it matters, without having to hunt for it.

The Notification Bell Comes to Life

One of the hardest and most important pieces now in place is the notification bell. As you navigate and use the system, the bell keeps you in sync with what’s happening around you. Notifications can include:

  • Someone adding you as a friend
  • A crew inviting you or adding you
  • Crews you’re in playing without you
  • Invitations to join new friendships or crews
  • Updates and changes inside crews you’re already part of

Expanded Crew Management Tools

Crew management itself has also grown up. You can now upgrade crew members so you’re not the only one responsible for running things when you’re offline. If you’re ready to hand off leadership entirely, you can even gift a crew to someone else, ensuring the group can keep going without disruption.

A Wave of Improvements

All of this is part of a larger wave of improvements that are hard to fully capture in a single update. The system isn’t launched or live to the public yet, but the foundation is real, and it’s getting more refined every day.

Looking Back From the Future

Someday, someone might scroll back and read this and see the history in motion—the moment when the world of JoinThisGame shifted from prototype to platform. This is where things stand today, plus all the little details I’m surely forgetting.
